Hi! I am Roos, 28 years old and mom of a small, cheerful knowitall that is called Jackie. We have a cool taste with a touch of color. We are in love with monochrome, but we also love cool prints and pastel colors. The combination of these two together is therefore, in our opinion, perfect!

Girls’ room with spunk, both in prints and in color

I would describe Jackie's room as a girls’ room with spunk, both in prints and in color. Jackie’s baby room was completely monochrome with some soft pink accessories. Now that she is getting older, we liked to make it into a real girls’ room. The ‘safe’ baby room has now been transformed into a trendy girls’ room with a colorful animal print. She is very proud of the wild animal wallpaper. The pink accent wall completes the room.

Making sure that the overall picture is correct

I always liked being creative. I love original things that you do not often see and I think that my love for interior styling and photography comes from there. Finding unique things, combining different styles and then making sure the overall picture is correct, is what I like to do most. I can also be very happy with buying a one of a kind item or finding an original (web) shop via Instagram.

Fun and chaos during DIY

As mentioned before, Jackie's baby room was black and white with a little bit of pink. Jackie is a tough cookie, but I also notice that she, like most girls, likes the color pink. The wild animals wallpaper could be combined with all kinds of colors, but Jackie has had some influence, even though she is only 2 years old. Furthermore, it is always fun to get dirty with the wallpaper glue, to mess with the paint (to a certain extent) or to hide under the sheeting material. Jackie's share is therefore mainly in having fun and creating chaos during DIY and that’s OK. That way, changing a room regularly just remains fun!

Ritual before going to bed

Rituals before going to bed, well we certainly have them here! We start singing songs and we end up singing songs. If it is up to Jackie, at least 300 songs a night ... In between, of course, the teeth have to be brushed and the pajamas are put on. Do not forget to say hello to all the cuddly toys (and yes there are many!) And shouting goodnight to the lions on her wallpaper because yes, that's Jackie's favorite animal. We round off the evening with a big kiss and then we hear Jackie sing from her room happily or talk to her cuddly toys before she falls asleep ..

Mix & Match!

Mix & Match! You do not need to have only unique items to create a unique room. With one cool, striking wallpaper you can create a unique room. The wild animals wallpaper by Studio Ditte in Jackie's room is a real eye-catcher. By combining this wallpaper with a pink wall and neutral furniture, the wallpaper comes into its own a lot more and distinguishes itself as a unique item. If I had only chosen unique things, the unique could also turn into chaos, while the wallpaper in combination with a plain pink wall now really makes one whole.
