Passion for Lego, cars and work vehicles

The nursery is the nicest place in the house

I love the children's rooms. For me it is the nicest place in the house and I am always busy with it. I also always have to restrain myself not to want to change too often and too much, but I can get so excited when I see a nice wallpaper or bedding. In my head I have already redecorated the entire room (to the annoyance of my friend).

Wallpaper with cars, work vehicles and crane trucks

Finn's room is complete with the crane truck wallpaper from Studio Ditte. We have completely adapted his room to his wishes and character. For example, Finn is a tough boy, but also a very sweet and sensitive boy. So his room is cool, but also quiet and a little sweet. His great love and passion are Lego and cars/work vehicles and we have therefore brought those two things together in his room, so that it is really completely to his taste and wish. We always involve him in the choices we make for his room and he really likes that. He also often has very nice ideas! He was also very excited when I showed him the crane truck wallpaper and he couldn't wait for it to be on his wall.

Combination of different styles and colors

I change the children's rooms quite often. A new duvet cover or some nice new accessories, that often makes it very different. I just really like to combine different styles and colors. For example, the panda duvet cover and raccoon duvet cover from Studio Ditte both look great in Finn's room. Both the duvet covers combine nicely with the fitted sheet with jaguar spots from Studio Ditte.

Ritual before going to sleep

When Finn and Mae go to bed at night, the three of us always read a story in Finn's bed. Mae loves Finn's room, so it should always be in his bed. And we sing some songs. Then Mae goes to her own bed and Finn turns on his Lego light and goes to sleep.

Nursery styling tips

My styling tip: 'Look closely at your child, at his/her character and what they really love. Adjust the basis of the nursery accordingly. After all, it is their place, a place where they can retreat for a while.'
