Studio Ditte 20 years – a look back with pride

In 2005, our adventure began with a shared love for design, special materials and stories. What once started with a conceptual presentation at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, grew into the Studio Ditte brand as you know it today – with a recognizable style and a loyal group of enthusiasts.

Prints with character

Twenty years later, we look back on a journey full of creativity, challenges, growth and many beautiful moments. Driven by curiosity and an eye for detail, we design prints with character – from vintage toy cars to carefully handmade paper animals. Each design starts with a tangible object – vintage toys, porcelain plates or handmade paper figures – that we carefully collect, photograph and translate into prints full of depth, texture and individuality.

Since 2005

Studio Ditte was founded in 2005 by Marieke Dirks, Natasja Heesbeen and Endry van Zwam. We met at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. At the academy we discovered our shared passion for designing beautiful products. We are not often photographed ourselves, but for this special milestone we are happy to make an exception ;-)

First presentation in Milan

Our journey began with a conceptual collection – ‘Sampling China’ – presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. This was followed by presentations at fairs in Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt. We would like to take you back in time with photos from our early years: moments that shaped and inspired us.

Studio Ditte at Masterly – Milan Design Week 2025

During Milan Design Week 2025, we presented an exclusive wallpaper collection at Masterly. This new collection, printed with gold, silver or copper foil, adds an extra dimension of shine and luxury to our recognizable designs. We are proud to have been part of this podium for Dutch design.

What moves us most? That our designs have now found a place in so many homes. From cheerful children's rooms to colorful corners in living rooms - your enthusiasm, reactions and stories continue to inspire us.
